Honoring America’s Heroes: How VA is Transforming the Veteran Patient Experience through Research Driven Design

Our talk will focus on the research-driven design process for the VA Replacement Medical Centers in New Orleans and Omaha. The presentation will address the research techniques and key insights that have shaped the projects and are helping to reshape VA’s universal standards for patient care.
Both Replacement Medical Centers seek to honor America’s heroes -Veterans who have already served, and those yet to be born.
- Learn relevant social science research techniques for targeted design outcomes
- Identify key strategies for translating raw research data into integrated design results
- Understand hurdles and challenges of incorporating research into large team workflow
- Learn strategies for promoting innovation within the leadership structures of complex institutional clients
