David Sommers & Associates is currently in the process of accepting resumes for the position of Architectural Draftsperson and CADD Technician. Candidates should be capable of being part of a project team and have a understanding of projects from the conceptual design phase through the construction documents phase.

Firm’s Focus
David Sommers & Associates has a focus on five project types:

  • Restaurant Design, Animal Facilities, Municipal/Civic Buildings, Residential/Housing Projects, and Adaptive Re-Use of Existing Structures

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates degree in the field of Architectural Drafting and CADD Technician
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in REVIT

Additional Qualifications (not mandatory)

  • Prior architectural firm experience is preferred
  • At a minimum candidate must have ability to show strong competence in understanding of methods and materials of construction technology and methodology

Experience Requirements
Experience working on or a strong understanding of projects in the following aspects of project design including:

  • Schematic design, design development, and construction documents
  • Willingness to be part of a “team approach” and have a cooperative attitude
  • Candidate should have a strong desire to improve his/her knowledge of the architectural design process as well as a goal of personal growth within both the technical and design aspects of this process

Hitachi Medical Systems America based in Twinsburg has a Site Planning Specialist II (space planning) opening for which they are currently recruiting.

The Site Planning Specialist II position is responsible for assisting Hitachi Sales Representatives and customers identify suitable locations and space for medical imaging equipment sold by Hitachi, as well as assisting customers in preparing their sites for installation of MR and CT systems; and providing site planning support to their departments as needed.

They require a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field. 3-5 years of medical device site planning experience is referred, or 5+ years of site planning experience in other industries in lieu of medical site planning experience. An RA is preferred for the position.
