AIA Akron is a local component of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). We represent over 170 members in 11 counties of the greater Akron area. Our mission is to organize and unite in fellowship the members of the Architecture profession. We promote the aesthetic, scientific and art of planning by advancing the standards of architectural education, training, and practice, to coordinate the building industry and the profession of architecture to ensure the advancement of the living standards or people through their improved environment.
We are preparing for our annual “Architecture Is…” T-shirt Design and Essay writing competition and would like to ask for your help in judging the submissions. The competition is open to Kindergarten through 12th grade and Special Education students every spring, and is a great event that brings together students, parents, teachers and Architects in our Chapter.
This is a call for your participation as a Judge for Architecture Is…
If you are interested in being a Judge,
please contact Carolyne Tinsley
The program will take place on May 3, 2011
at Camp Y Noah – Green, Ohio
Judges are needed to review the T-Shirt Design and Essay submissions to determine the winners to be announced at Camp Y Noah
